Project Manager - Automotive Industry - Hoddesdon Area - up to 46,000

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the introduction of new products in a fast-paced and innovative automotive environment. This role will see you collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that new OEM and internal products are introduced successfully, on time, and within budget. You will also play a key role in supporting the generation of new business opportunities alongside the Commercial Department.

In this Project Manager role, you will be responsible for overseeing the introduction of new products, managing project timelines, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations. You will take a proactive role in identifying new business opportunities, working with key accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication of responsibilities, expectations, and project objectives
• Manage the introduction of new products, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and customer specifications
• Support the creation of new business opportunities alongside the Commercial Department
• Provide detailed project status updates, including addressing issues and identifying roadblocks
• Work with the engineering team to develop product strategy and future product roadmaps
• Manage costs, project timings, and deliverables according to the business plan
• Cultivate strong relationships with key account managers and customers, both internally and externally

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Project Manager role within the automotive or similar industry
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Strong project management methodology knowledge (e.g., PRINCE2, AGILE)
• Experience within a Tier 1 automotive environment preferred
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• UK driving license and willingness to travel for customer visits
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
