Role Overview:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the reliable operation of critical power systems. Your responsibilities will include commissioning, maintenance, service, and repair activities related to various uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and take complete ownership of assigned tasks, working within critical power environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform start-up/commissioning, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance on UPS equipment.
- Lead critical power projects and collaborate with the sales team.
- Provide support to customers and in-house teams.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour.
- Document all required information for each site visit.
- Manage installation projects and unit replacements.
- Educate customers on the operation of their equipment.
- Comply with safety policies, practices, procedures, and cyber security.
Skills and Attributes:
- 2-5 years experience within the UPS industry or similar.
- Professional Technical Bachelor s degree or equivalent by experience.
- In-depth knowledge of electricity/electronics principles and codes.
- Strong customer skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Office.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
- Full clean driving licence.
