This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic audience analyst to join University of the Arts London's newly formed university-wide communications function. You will design and analyse innovative audience research and help build a culture of evaluation across a wide-ranging and dynamic communications department.
As a key part of this new function, the Audience Insights & Evaluation Manager will be analysing how our brand and communications are perceived and engaged with by our varied audiences. You will help plan and deliver key strategic audience research projects, working closely with colleagues from across the communications department and UAL to get to the heart of where and how we have impact.
You will lead on audience focused research activities, including our insightful Brand Health Tracking research and help towards mapping out new audience personas. As part of the Brand & Strategy team, you will help ensure that our communications have clear, measurable objectives and that as a department we are audience first and evidence led.
You will collaborate with colleagues within the Brand and Strategy team, analysing the impact and reach that our global brand has, as well as collaborating with people across the department to build the culture of evaluation and ensure our activities are evidence led.
Your profile
If you understand how to get to the heart of what a brand's audience thinks; are interested in digging deeper to find out why a specific activity has everyone talking online; or are passionate about working with others to help quantify and evidence your collective activity - we need you! This role looks beyond whether the line goes up or down and explores the thoughts, feelings and desires of the people behind the data and how we can use that information to influence our activities.
We are looking for a creative data specialist who enjoys developing innovative research activities, revealing the truth through analysis and instilling an evidence-led approach. You will also have experience conducting audience research; from designing and running the data collection, to evaluating and interpreting the results.
You will be a champion of ensuring that as a department we are audience-first and evidence-led. With strong data analysis skills, you should have a good understanding of relevant tools for capturing, analysing and presenting data, as well as the ability to get up to speed with the range of tools already in use.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role; working with the Senior Strategy & Insights Manager and others across the department, you will be a proactive member of the Communications department helping build a culture of evaluation and supporting in building the evidence of the department's impact.
