Product Safety Engineer

Product Safety Engineer
55- 60 per hour.
6 Month duration.
Stevenage 2-3 days per week on site.

The main duties:
Taking charge of identifying and managing Product Safety requirements derived from hazard and risk assessments
Collaborating in line with Project Safety Management Plans
Shaping the development of safe design through logical safety arguments, including comprehensive Safety Case justification reports
Facilitating hazard identification meetings and maintaining an up-to-date project hazard log
Conducting peer reviews and performing verification and assurance tasks to validate the robustness of the Safety Case and its supporting documentation
Your skills and experiences:

Skills / Background:
In-depth understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case reports
Solid grasp of safety principles within systems engineering and their integration into effective engineering processes
Proven experience in creating detailed justification reports
Strong knowledge of Safety Engineering principles and practices

Desirable
Familiarity with systems engineering tools and techniques
Experience in a defence or complex systems environment
Knowledge of JIRA
