Maintenance Engineer Commercial Gas
£35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Benefits
London & South UK (Field-Based Role)
MC Technical Recruitment are supporting a rapidly growing energy solutions provider in their search for a Commercial Gas Maintenance Engineer to work across their network of commercial and district heating sites in London and the South.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified gas engineer looking to step into a role that offers variety, autonomy, and progression working on innovative energy systems that support a more sustainable future.
As the Commercial Gas Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas boilers and associated systems
- Diagnosing faults and reinstating equipment including pumps, valves, and heat exchangers
- Supporting upgrades, repairs, and minor mechanical project works
- Participating in an on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 4, paid at enhanced rates)
- Isolating systems safely before commencing works
- Recording accurate maintenance logs using an online system
- Supporting plantroom efficiency and reliability across the portfolio
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- 1 3 years of experience in commercial gas maintenance
- Valid commercial gas qualifications (including TPCP1, BMP1)
- Experience working with systems from manufacturers such as Hoval, Hamworthy, Ideal, or Buderus
- Basic electrical knowledge and competent in safe isolation (mechanical & electrical)
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams (P&IDs, schematics)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
The package on offer includes:
- Basic salary of £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
