Salary: £110 - £120 per day, Term time only (8.30am-3.30pm)

Do you have experience working in a school setting as a School Cover Supervisor? Are you seeking paid secondary school experience in the Colchester area?

Our partnering Secondary schools in Colchester, are seeking confident individuals who are passionate about education, to work as School Cover Supervisors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule, either full-time or part-time.

The lesson will always be planned, and this will be provided in advance. It is your role as the School Cover Supervisor to facilitate the classes learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers, and provide a handover to the absent teacher. Successful School Cover Supervisors are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, and organised, they have a passion for education and supporting young people.

This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a Secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although previous experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable, it is not essential.

The desired School Cover Supervisor will have:

• A degree or equivalent education.
• Experience working with young people or a willingness to learn.
• Leadership skills and confidence to lead a classroom of up to 30 students.
• A passion for education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people.
