About the Opportunity
Are you looking for your next step in Compliance? We're working with a leading global insurance business to support the hire of a Compliance Analyst into their well-established International Compliance function. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their compliance experience in a second-line oversight capacity, contributing to regulatory reporting, licensing, financial promotions, broker due diligence, and more.
You'll work as part of a collaborative and fast-paced team, supporting on a wide range of compliance operations while developing your knowledge of global insurance markets and regulatory regimes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the tracking, completion, and reporting of international regulatory returns and submissions to relevant boards and committees
- Handle queries around international licensing and reinsurance licence renewals
- Review financial promotions to ensure alignment with FCA and other regulatory standards
- Assist with Broker TOBA requests: issuing agreements, conducting due diligence reviews, maintaining records
- Take ownership of the complaints process, ensuring regulatory timeframes are met and reporting is provided to boards and external stakeholders (e.g., Lloyd's, FOS)
- Support exception reporting in areas such as licensing, sanctions, gifts & hospitality, and escalate risks where appropriate
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments, share insights with the wider business, and prepare memos where deeper analysis is required
- Collate and format board and committee papers using Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Record, investigate, and escalate business breaches and ensure appropriate tracking and resolution
- Submit QA and reporting to relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., ELTO, FCA)
- Support on SM&CR obligations and submit regulatory applications where required
- Maintain up-to-date departmental policies and procedures, including the compliance manual
- Assist with internal and ad hoc compliance projects, audits, and deep dives
What We're Looking For
- Some previous experience in a compliance role within insurance or financial services
- Solid understanding of FCA, PRA, Lloyd's and/or other global regulatory frameworks
- Experience managing compliance reporting cycles, maintaining registers, and coordinating with business stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive approach to solving problems and identifying process improvements
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Willingness to study or continue relevant compliance qualifications
