Our client is a well-established leader in the enabling works sector, delivering services such as demolition, strip out, structural alterations, and specialist works including façade retention, asbestos removal, recycling, remediation, and temporary works. Their projects are known for their technical complexity, and they are delivered with expert planning and precision across Central London and the South East.
With a turnover of £18 million and a strong pipeline of secured work through to 2026, the business offers long-term stability and genuine growth opportunities. You ll join a commercial team of four surveyors, working in a client-facing role that balances time between the office and live project sites.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Assist in managing the financial and contractual aspects of enabling works and construction projects
- Support in preparing cost estimates, valuations, and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery
- Help with procurement, tendering, and tracking variations
- Monitor cost reporting and assist with budget management across live projects
- Work on projects within Residential and Commercial sectors across multiple UK locations
Skills and Experience Required - Experience in Groundworks, Demolition and Enabling Works operations is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Residential and Commercial construction sectors
- Strong communication, organisation, and team collaboration skills
- Client facing and presentable
- A motivated, proactive attitude with a desire to develop your QS career
