Supply Chain Planner - Global Logistics & Operations

Are you a highly organised logistics and supply chain professional with a passion for global operations? We're currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing and distribution business that prides itself on efficiency, growth, and collaborative values.

This newly created role sits at the centre of inbound supply chain planning and offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic cross-functional team that supports international freight, inventory optimisation, and delivery scheduling.

? Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with overseas factories to plan production and shipping schedules
  • Manage sea and air freight bookings to ensure timely and compliant transportation
  • Optimise container fill and coordinate cost-effective loading
  • Oversee inbound deliveries to multiple UK warehouse locations and third-party partners
  • Maintain customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, commodity codes)
  • Track purchase orders and logistics milestones from dispatch to delivery
  • Collaborate with warehousing, sales, production, and freight forwarders
  • Plan delivery slots to meet warehouse or customer needs
  • Monitor delays, damages, and discrepancies with clear resolution management
  • Analyse stock trends and maintain accurate inventory levels across multi-site operations
  • Manage ERP systems (SAP Business One and GS) for stock control and min/max forecasting
  • Achieve KPIs including on-time delivery, container utilisation, freight cost efficiency, and inventory turnover

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven background in international logistics, freight planning, or supply chain coordination
  • Experience working with ERP software
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret stock and sales data
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and UK compliance requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and external partners
