Cover Supervisor

£90-£120 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a reliable, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our welcoming secondary school in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in pre-set learning activities and maintain high standards of behaviour.

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 using lesson plans provided by teaching staff

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies

• Ensure a positive and productive learning environment

• Support students with their learning where appropriate

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Confidence working with young people aged 11-16

• A degree or relevant qualification (desirable)

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
