Mechanical Estimator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator to join a well-established, family-run business based in Kent. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in estimating for residential projects ranging from £5-30 million.

• Prepare multiple detailed Mechanical/Plumbing estimates for residential projects.

• Conduct meetings with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Assist in preparing Labour Histograms, draft programs, cash flow forecasts, material schedules, and procurement schedules.

• Collaborate with the Electrical Estimation Team to provide joint bids.

• Review specifications, schematics, and drawings.

• Produce accurate cost estimates and take-offs while keeping updated on material and labour costs.

• Negotiate deals with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Support the contracts manager, commercial team, and supervisors with live projects.

• Experience in high-rise residential sector and Design & Build schemes is essential.

• Proficiency in estimation software such as Quickscale and Extreme Estimating is preferred but not essential.

• Office-based role, Monday to Friday.

• Competitive Salary: £50k - £80k package, depending on experience.

• Potential for Company Vehicle: Offered upon successful completion of the trial period.

• Annual Bonus: Company & Personal performance related
