Horizon Teachers have a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support assistant to join a two-form entry school that delivers an exciting curriculum containing attention-grabbing topics.This school is an outstanding Church School where the Christian values on which it is founded unite and inspire both adults and learner'Key responsibilities:

• To work with individual and/or groups of Early Years students to support the transition into the classroom and access to the curriculum
• Contribute to teachers' planning and preparation as appropriate
• Provide verbal/written feedback to the teacher
• Assist in the selection and preparation of teaching resources in order to meet individual and group pupil needs and interest
• Use behaviour management strategies, in line with school policy and procedures
• Recognise and challenge any incidents of inappropriate behaviour ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures
• To work as part of a team and enjoy working with students and professional including specialist therapy providers
• Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment
• To supervise pupils during leisure time including on the playground
• Participate in inset days, training activities and sessions offered by the school and other external agencies
