Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Watford

Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a caring and creative SEN Teacher to join our secondary specialist provision in Watford.

About the Role:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for secondary-aged students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech, language, and communication difficulties.
  • Adapt the curriculum to meet individual learning styles and levels.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to deliver personalised learning plans (EHCPs).
  • Track and assess student progress, celebrating achievements at every stage.
About You:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) required.
  • Experience teaching students with SEN in a secondary or specialist setting.
  • Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people to reach their potential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH (training can be provided).
  • A positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education.
