Job Title: Director - Data Centre MEP Engineering
Location: London or Oxfordshire
Salary: 130,000 - 160,000 (depending on experience)

We have been appointed to work exclusively with our client on this high-profile strategic appointment, leading the largest and most diversely skilled and geographically dispersed teams in their European business.

This is a rare senior leadership opportunity to join this very successful, high-growth, international M&E consultancy. With a fantastic track record in designing and delivering the world's most complex and advanced digital infrastructure, the work on major hyperscale and co-location data centres across the globe.

• Lead a multi-disciplinary business UK and European business unit
• Work on large-scale, cutting-edge UK and overseas data centre projects
• Report directly to the Managing Director and lead a well-established, growing 50+ strong multi-disciplinary building services team
• Enormous opportunity to grow UK and European team as they expand into the Germany and Spanish markets, as well as other mainland European country markets, including the Nordics in the future. Understand and assimilate to local business cultures, local legislation and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, grow and develop a team of highly talented and motivated engineers and technicians
• Positively contribute as the group lead, including mentoring and developing your core team of leadership reports.
• Lead your group's vision and strategy, while managing a successful P&L; planning and delivering work in line with budgets.
• Problem solve and apply the right solutions, while determining when innovation is best applied.
• Lead the design delivery for a number of medium and large projects.
• Project Director, responsible for delivering successful outcomes.

What you need:

• A passion for creative and innovative design engineering.
• Chartered Engineer, with a relevant academic qualification and career experience.
• Strong track record of leading data centre projects to deliver building services design engineering across the UK, Europe and further afield, as required.
• Good people skills, comfortable developing new and existing client relationships, both in terms of delivering excellence across a portfolio of your own projects, as well as identifying and winning new business.
• A proven ability to set and deliver a vision and strategy for a significantly-sized business unit.
• Established working knowledge and understanding of the UK, European and global data centre marketplace, with an established personal profile in this sector.
