Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and close-knit primary school in Croydon that is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join them from the start of the summer term on a long-term, full-time basis - with potential to go permanent.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the Reception class, delivering a creative, EYFS curriculum while ensuring children make strong progress both academically and socially.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years Framework
• Creating a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting children's early phonics, communication and personal development
• Working closely with teaching assistants and parents
• Tracking progress and adapting provision to meet individual needs

The school is looking for a teacher who can balance warmth and care with clear structure and high expectations.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold UK QTS
• Have strong EYFS experience, ideally within Reception
• Be confident in delivering phonics and early maths
• Demonstrate a nurturing, patient and positive approach
• Be committed to building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Be seeking a long-term, stable opportunity within a supportive school

This role would suit either an experienced EYFS teacher or a confident early-career teacher with strong Reception experience.
