Full-Time Long-Term Immediate Start Mainstream Secondary School

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Southwark who are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term position offers an exciting opportunity to support students with academic, emotional, and behavioural needs in a well-resourced and supportive school environment.

As a Learning Mentor, you'll work closely with students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential. You'll also collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement tailored strategies that promote engagement, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and emotional support to students who need additional guidance

• Deliver tailored mentoring and intervention programmes

• Help students build resilience and improve self-esteem

• Support teachers and pastoral staff in promoting positive behaviour and attendance

• Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people (in schools or similar settings)

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A calm, patient, and supportive approach

• Full-time availability for a long-term position
