Job Title: Therapy Team Manager (Occupational Therapist)

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Job PurposeAs the Therapy Team Manager (Occupational Therapist) at Brainkind Milton Keynes, you will lead a multidisciplinary therapy team delivering specialist neurorehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions. In this dual clinical and leadership role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapy services while supporting the professional development, supervision, and performance of the therapy team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and operational management to a team of therapists including OTs, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and therapy assistants
- Deliver expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention for individuals with neurological and cognitive impairments, promoting functional independence and meaningful engagement
- Support the development and implementation of person-centred rehabilitation and care plans in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team
- Lead on staff recruitment, appraisals, clinical supervision, and performance management within the therapy service
- Monitor service delivery through quality assurance, outcome measures, audits, and continuous improvement projects
- Manage therapy service resources and contribute to service planning, capacity management, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards
- Liaise with families, carers, commissioners, and external agencies to support coordinated care and positive discharge outcomes

Person SpecificationEssential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Extensive post-qualification experience, including in neurorehabilitation or complex neurological conditions
- Proven experience in supervising and/or managing a clinical team
- Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and therapeutic intervention skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and liaise with multiple stakeholders
- A commitment to professional development and high standards of clinical practice
