Purpose of the Role
It is the duties of the Quality Control Technician to perform sampling, field testing and specimen preparation tasks for Concrete, Asphalt and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British standards and company
procedures. Hanson technical UK is committed to maintaining an industry leading level of customer satisfaction through continuous assurance and improvement of its product portfolio and technical services by developing,
documenting and maintaining a comprehensive quality management program. You will be working as part of a team with remote supervision in an efficient manner, whilst maintaining excellent standards and attention to detail.
Key Accountabilities
Carry out sampling, field testing and specimen preparation of Concrete, Asphalt and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British / European standards and company procedures.
Investigate and feed back to the technical and operations teams on quality issues at relevant sites and depots under their control, including but not limited to:
Concrete sampling, testing and preparation
Asphalt sampling, testing and preparation
Aggregate sampling, testing and preparation
Preliminary plant or customer site investigations
Preliminary investigation of product issues
Review of water demands in RMC including plant M.C testing
Review of site practice
Review of truck delivery practices / issues
Review product consistence variances
Raise NCRs and Near Hits as appropriate.
Challenge behaviours which demonstrate a negative attitude towards safety and/or quality.
Assist with transportation of test specimens.
