Charterhouse seeks an outstanding Deputy Head (Academic) to lead and co-ordinate all aspects of the academic life of the School. The Deputy Head (Academic) is responsible to the Head & CEO for the development of the School's academic strategy as well as the promotion of an academic culture based on excellence, engagement and achievement.
This is an important leadership role and, as such, the Deputy Head (Academic) is a member of the School's Strategy and Business Committee, which is the School's most senior executive group. Reporting to the Principal Deputy Head, the Deputy Head (Academic) line manages a team of Assistant Heads who, with the Heads of Academic Departments, collectively ensure the highest academic standards at the School.
The successful candidate will combine a track record of outstanding school-based academic leadership with a proven ability to work collaboratively in such a way as to inspire pupils, staff and parents. Charterhouse's next Deputy Head (Academic) will be ready to take on this exciting challenge.
