Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to work with students with learning difficulties in schools across North London. Positions will be full time (Monday-Friday 8.30am-4pm), term time only, beginning asap.

• Dyslexia
• EAL
• MLD
• PMLD

Ideally you will have experience working with students with SEN or you will have knowledge of learning difficulties through personal experience and/or academic studies. We will also consider applications from graduates with a strong passion for supporting children and young people with SEN.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one support to students in class as well as work with small groups.
• Focus on delivering learning support to enhance student engagement and progress.
• Ensure students receive the best possible care and learning experience.
• Assist with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Provide tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
• Help students develop their independence and confidence in a supportive environment.

Key skills and experience for SEN Learning Support Assistant:

• Experience working with SEN students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support students and staff.
• Ability to build positive relationships and create a supportive learning environment.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of effective learning strategies and behavior management techniques.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting student development.
