The Role: As the Planning and Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading, coordinating, and implementing development strategies, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders to secure planning permissions, manage development timelines, and optimise operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the development pipeline, ensuring that projects meet planning, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with local authorities and external consultants to navigate planning applications and approvals.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with environmental policies, legal requirements, and sustainability standards.
• Manage the preparation of planning applications, submissions, and responses to consultations.
• Identify risks and issues related to planning processes and offer solutions to mitigate them.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, clients, and contractors.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in planning and development, ideally within the waste management, environmental, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of planning regulations, environmental impact assessments, and relevant legislation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
