£25,500.00 - £30,000

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our clients team who will have a hands-on approach to maintaining the finance operations, including purchase ledger processing, reconciliations, credit control as well as supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Controller. You must be a strong team player, with the ability to build effective relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues, customers & suppliers.

The Role

• Manage the Purchase ledger, resolving queries and reconciliations
• Prepare weekly payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid on time
• Assist with credit control and sales & production reporting

• Responsible for managing the Finance Department Inbox and contributing to monthly management accounts preparation
• Ensure all finance processes comply with fiscal, legal and group control and compliance frameworks
• Assist with the annual external audit and complete year-end tasks
• Provide general office support as required

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Ideally, you will be QBE or working towards a qualification in AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA
• Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work within tight deadlines, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Great communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages / MS Excel

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Purchase Ledger
• Posting Journals / Accruals (Must have an understanding of double entry bookkeeping)
• Credit Control
• Data Analysis & Reporting (Excellent Excel Skills)
• Month End Process
• Year End Audits
