Multi Skilled Handyman

Catch 22 are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Handyman to work for an expanding provider of reactive maintenance nationwide. The company are a family owned business within the top 20 sub-contractors for volume and service for an international FM provider and provide services typically within commercial/industrial and retail environments.

They expect hard work and high standards from their engineers but in return will recognise and reward this. International trips, family outings and travel have all been rewards for employees in the past. As the business continues its growth, there will be plenty of opportunity for training and career progression into supervisory/managerial roles.

This is a mobile role that will require travelling up and down the country, as far as Manchester down to Devon however would be best suit to someone based in Essex. Due to nature of the contracts, this role offers a lot of variety and unlimited chances for someone who's looking to progress their skillset and career.

The role:

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance at client sites, as well as handyman jobs. Job scope varies from rubbish removal to gutter cleaning, roof repairs, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
• Identify problems on first call-out and where possible offer a temporary fix or repair/complete job for client.
• Liaise with Help Desk in order to keep client up to date at all times.
• Maintain all necessary Health and Safety administration before, during and after job.
• Time management skills, to ascertain all times needed on a project

The Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate will have experience within reactive maintenance and handyman jobs, but training can be provided.
• A vital aspect of the handyman position is a can-do attitude and heart willing to go the extra mile and help the customer.
• Technologically competent and be able to work with the latest smart phone, laptops etc to write reports and job sheets.
• Clean driving License
• Happy to travel.

Role Benefits:

• Competitive salary between £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience
• Full time, permanent contract
• Core hours 8am - 5pm, Mon - Friday - Must have flexibility to work outside these hours.
• Overtime rate for hours outside core time + Weekend & Bank holidays worked voluntary and at overtime rate - Must offer to work some.
• Mobile Phone, Fuel Card, Van, Expense Card solely for Job Materials, Corporate Parking Accounts, Uniform
