The Headteacher and Governors of Granard Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, self-motivated and inspiring Teaching Assistant. The right candidate will be a role model to our children; challenging and inspiring our children through high expectations, both in work and behaviour; will promote effective speech and language; will make learning fun and have a genuine belief that all children have the potential for success.
This position would ideally suit an energetic, resilient candidate who is kind, flexible, and patient and has the ability to inspire and motivate young children. You will need to be proactive and creative in supporting and engaging the children in the classroom and the outside environment, and be able to encourage high standards of discipline both in the classroom and at break times and lunchtimes. You will need to be able to support the children's general welfare and hygiene needs and be confident about working with young children. You will also need to work closely with the class teacher to prepare resources, put up displays of children's work and carry out various administrative tasks required in the classroom. You will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team.
