Junior Acoustic Consultant

Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 - Surrey

A respected and forward-thinking acoustic consultancy is looking for a motivated Junior Acoustic Consultant to join their team in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate or early-career consultant to develop their skills on a wide range of exciting projects, with full training and mentoring provided by senior specialists.

As a Junior Acoustic Consultant, you'll be involved in projects across residential, commercial, education, and healthcare sectors. Based in Surrey, you'll support the delivery of technical assessments, assist with site surveys, contribute to acoustic modelling, and prepare reports under the guidance of senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in environmental noise and building acoustics assessments

• Supporting acoustic modelling using tools such as CadnaA, ODEON, or SoundPLAN

• Undertaking site visits, surveys, and measurements

• Preparing technical reports with senior support

• Working closely with the Surrey team to deliver projects to a high standard

About You:

• Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, or related discipline

• Strong interest in building acoustics and environmental noise

• Familiarity with acoustic standards such as BB93, BS8233, or Approved Document E (advantageous but not essential)

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

• Enthusiasm to learn and develop within consultancy

• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
