About the Role:
Hunter AHP are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join a well-respected NHS hospital in Kent. This ongoing contract offers flexible working options (3, 4, or 5 days per week), and the ideal candidate will have a high level of clinical oncology pharmacy experience to support the delivery of expert care for oncology patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients across various wards.
• Review and monitor the use of chemotherapy, biological therapies, and supportive medications.
• Work closely with the oncology multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
• Participate in chemotherapy prescribing, dispensing, and medication counselling.
• Conduct clinical ward rounds and medication reviews for oncology patients, ensuring safe and optimal medication use.
• Advise on appropriate drug therapies, interactions, and side effects management.

Requirements:

• Previous oncology pharmacy experience is essential, with a strong clinical background in oncology settings.
• GPhC registration.
• High level of expertise and clinical judgment in oncology pharmacology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Flexibility to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, with an ongoing commitment.
