Warehouse and Operations Manager

Noble Recruiting have an exciting position open and are looking for an experienced Warehouse & Operations Manager to join a professional and prestigious company based in Wickford, Essex.

Full time, Permanent position

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday's

The role is to report to Management directly, supervising a small team within the warehouse and actively pick, pack and manage goods in/goods out areas as well as have a hands-on and involved approach to daily activities.

This is a hands on role - involvement in picking & packing items and unloading deliveries as well as management of the Warehouse operation.

You will be:

• Daily management of the warehouse operation, orders for distribution, and ensure that inventory replenishment activity is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
• Log and record customer samples taken from the warehouse for stock control.
• Liaising with external parties to request shipping pricing and book & agree for shipment of goods both import and export sides.
• Picking & Packing goods for distribution to customers daily.
• Support with the import/export paperwork and daily input of information into their internal system and Excel for traceability.
• Ensure all site H&S and MHE checks are completed as required.
• Ensuring warehouse housekeeping is kept to a high standard
• Coaching of your small warehousing team and delegation of tasks including daily meetings and plans.
• Coaching, development and motivation of staff, ensuring all relevant HR policies are followed.
• Ensuring warehouse process systems are being followed and are correctly updates as and when needed.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have Warehousing and Operations management experience.
• Must be happy to have a hands-on approach and work closely with your team.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Must have a sound understanding of import & export freight operations and the paperwork involved.
• Be highly organised and meticulous.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Have a passion to work with an involved operation
• Strong attention to detail with a creative approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop skills.
• An FLT Licence is advantageous.
