Part Time Freight Forwarder

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused individual to join our team as a Part Time Freight Forwarder. This is a varied and hands-on role, managing international commercial freight consignments across all modes - road, air, sea, and courier - to and from the UK.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods while maintaining exceptional customer service and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate imports and exports via road, air, sea, and courier services.
• Manage end-to-end shipment processes including customs clearance, documentation, and supply chain coordination.
• Use our bespoke freight forwarding software to input and maintain data accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and suppliers via phone and email.
• Obtain competitive rates from suppliers and prepare customer quotations.
• Raise invoices upon job completion and maintain organised filing of all job documentation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to expand business relationships and enhance service delivery.
• Confidently use Microsoft Office and adapt quickly to bespoke systems.

About You:

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics is advantageous but not essential - training will be provided.

Working 2 days a week 9am - 5pm total of 14 hours per week, due to rural location applicants must be able to drive.
