The Director, Travel Partnerships is a key leadership role responsible for managing global partnerships and driving strategic initiatives in the travel sector. This role is pivotal in maximizing acceptance and creating new travel revenue opportunities through strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners across global markets.

Key Responsibilities of the Director, Travel Partnerships:
- Deliver strategic insights and identify critical strategic partnerships to achieve WEX International revenue and growth targets
- Direct and oversee activities of multiple departments or functional areas, guiding management and senior experts in setting and executing short and long-term strategic and operational goals
- Lead and motivate diverse global teams to achieve high performance
- Inspire high standards and empower team members, cultivating strong cross-functional relationships within the business at senior business leader levels
- Identify and manage key global partnerships with major customers, including airlines, schemes, suppliers, acquirers and integrators, to drive growth and maximize product acceptance
- Develop strong relationships with strategic partners to support commercialization efforts and foster innovation in B2B travel payments
- Deliver Product Choice: Work closely with WEX Product to offer a comprehensive range of products, currencies and pricing options
- Nurture and Grow Channel Partners: Collaborate with key partners globally to enhance air payment solutions and drive the integration of WEX into agency workflows
- Support Customers: Work closely with senior executives at global strategic customers to develop and execute B2B payment strategies that align with business objectives
- Strengthen and grow global partnerships with senior executives at airlines, focusing on leveraging both air and payment expertise for mutual growth
Skills & Experience:
- Proven extensive experience in a senior leadership role with the ability to influence and build confidence with senior management across the business and external stakeholders
- International commercial customer facing expertise in Travel at a senior level, engaging with stakeholders such as CEOs, CFOs, CPOs at customer/partner organizations
- Proven experience in sales with strong competitive selling skills
- A track record of success in leading and winning complex deal negotiations
- Relationship focused with a strong customer orientation and a collaborative style
- Experience in penetrating new markets to uncover new opportunities within the travel industry
- Understanding of acquiring and scheme payment rails and other relevant partner networks
