Academics are recruiting on behalf of an Alternative Provision in Portsmouth who are seeking an experienced SENCO for a full-time, long term sickness cover role. The school caters for children with social, emotional and mental health needs.As an experienced SENCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all of their pupils receive the support and resources needed to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.This is a full-time, long-term sickness cover role starting ASAP and ideally suited to someone who lives in Portsmouth. As a SENCO, you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the core purpose of our school which is to ensure that all pupils achieve their best personal, social, and academic potential. The SENCO is expected to take a leading role in ensuring that all EHCP objectives are supported, whilst promoting and modelling high standards for all pupils and supporting a cohesive and positive ethos within the school.The suitable SENCO will have QTS and the SENCO Qualification, or be working towards this.
