Assistant Payroll Manager - Permanent, Full-time vacancy (hybrid role)

Southgate, London: £46,170 - £48,600

This role: The post-holder will oversee the end-to-end payroll for all Metropolitan Thames Valley. You will deputise for Payroll Manager ensuring a timely and accurate service provision. The successful candidate will deliver results through excellent legislative and process knowledge, ensuring best practice is adopted and assist with developing and maximising team performance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Excellent knowledge of UK Payroll statutory regulations and practical application and delivery of this.
• CIPP (or equivalent professional body) qualified
• Good stakeholder and communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy combined with the ability to prioritize own and team's work
• Advance IT literacy and data manipulation and analysis skills.
• Ability to calculate complex payroll calculation manually
• A 'can do' outcome focused attitude and approach
• A relentless drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results through new, innovative and more effective ways of working
• A pro-active approach to work and problem solving, and the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur
• A high level of personal integrity and is consistent, open and honest

MTVH conducts an annual review of salaries for colleagues. The salary displayed does not reflect any agreements reached during our 2025 review.
