About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN and challenging behaviours in both 1:1 and group settings. This role involves helping students with SEMH needs achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering self-regulation and positive behaviour.

This is a long-term, full-time role, ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting vulnerable students. While being a graduate is desirable, your skills, commitment, and ability to engage with students matter most.

Key Responsibilities:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, particularly those displaying challenging behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised strategies for student development.
• Support students in staying engaged in lessons through 1:1 and group interventions.
• Help students develop coping mechanisms, emotional resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and parents to share updates on student progress.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students, particularly those with SEN and SEMH challenges.
