Caretaker

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm Location: Slough SL1

We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Caretaker to maintain a residential building in Slough. This is a full-time role focused on keeping communal areas clean, safe, and functional while carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day upkeep, working independently with pride and attention to detail. If you take ownership of your work and enjoy practical problem-solving, this role is for you.

• Maintain and clean communal areas to a high standard
• Carry out minor repairs in flats (e.g. mastic, grout, plumbing, electrical, light bulbs, door security)
• Diagnose appliance issues and test heating/hot water systems
• Repair or replace fixtures and fittings as needed
• Perform lock changes when required
• Litter pick external areas when necessary
• Maintain bin areas and ensure rubbish is properly disposed of

• Proven experience in caretaking, maintenance, or facilities management
• Basic plumbing and electrical repair skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach
