A leading Managed Service Provider specialising in the education sector is seeking an experienced Senior Network Installer to join their expert installations team. The company delivers high-quality IT support, structured cabling, and infrastructure solutions to a growing client base across the South East. The Senior Network Installer Role:

As a Senior Network Installer, you'll play a key role in delivering professional, high-quality installations in schools and commercial environments. With at least four years' experience in structured cabling and network infrastructure, you'll lead installation teams, oversee technical delivery, and ensure every project meets exacting industry standards.

You'll be confident in using Fluke DSX test equipment, managing containment installations, and mentoring junior engineers - all while ensuring health and safety and client satisfaction are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Network Installer:

• Lead and deliver structured cabling installations (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre).
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling using Fluke DSX-series certification tools.
• Design and install containment systems including tray, trunking, conduit, and basket.
• Supervise and mentor installation engineers and subcontractors.
• Liaise effectively with clients and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and verify network performance.
• Complete all test documentation and site drawings to professional standards.
• Ensure all work meets industry regulations and company quality procedures.

About You

You'll be an experienced and proactive network installation professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects and leading teams on-site. You have an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and take pride in delivering exceptional results.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years' experience in data cabling and network infrastructure.
• Proven team leadership on installation projects.
• Proficiency in copper and fibre termination and testing.
• Skilled in using Fluke DSX-5000/8000/2 certification equipment.
• Strong understanding of containment and structured cabling systems.
• Ability to read and interpret site drawings and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence and ECS/CSCS card.
• Clean Enhanced DBS (Child Barred List).

Desirable (but not essential)

• IPAF, PASMA, or SSSTS certification.
• Experience within the education sector.
• Knowledge of Unifi, Paxton, Hikvision, or Synology systems.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi survey tools such as Ekahau.
