Experienced SEN Tutor

Job Title: Complex SEN 1:1 Support Tutor
Location: Havering, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Work one-to-one with children with complex SEN, providing tailored support in basic Maths and English.
• Develop and implement individualised lesson plans that address each child's unique learning challenges.
• Deliver tuition in core subjects and functional skills, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
• Monitor progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic, supportive approach.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience working one-to-one with children with complex SEN.
• Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching basic Maths, English, and functional skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an enhanced DBS check.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• PGCE in a core subject and/or QTS is highly desirable.
• SENCO experience or equivalent SEN qualification is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to adapt teaching methods for individual learner needs.
