About this client/child: George (6) is a lively, energetic child who thrives outdoors, whether kicking a football in the garden or exploring the park. He also enjoys quieter activities like arts and crafts and puzzles. George has ADHD and sometimes struggles with emotional regulation, particularly in social settings where routines and boundaries can be unpredictable. At home, he can experience sudden emotional outbursts, occasionally becoming frustrated or angry. Transitions, such as moving from brushing his teeth to getting dressed, can also be challenging. George has two older siblings (16 and 13) who also have ADHD but are independent and managing well. While they may join in some activities, this role will primarily focus on supporting George and his family by creating a more structured daily routine, reinforcing boundaries, and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
Overview of role: We are seeking an experienced and professional Female, Specialist Nanny/Educator to work under the guidance of a highly experienced and qualified Early Interventions Consultant to implement agreed strategies. The role will typically involve assisting with the morning routine, taking and collecting George from school (a short walk from the family home). After school you will support George with extra-curricular activities and execute the programme of intervention. You ll gather and report information as part of the data collection process, using daily logs and discussions in meetings. During school hours, you will support the family with light errands, including walking/feeding the dogs, food shopping, light housekeeping related to the children, food prep, and preparing activities for George. On Saturdays and during school holidays, there will be more opportunities to plan activities outside the home, while still following the programme. Please click here for further information provided by the Early Interventions Consultant.

George can find transitions and unpredictability challenging, making it essential to establish clear structures and routines. This role requires someone who can build a trusting relationship with George and his family, working collaboratively to create a structured, positive daily routine and support positive behaviour.
What s great about this job: This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a highly qualified Early Interventions Consultant, gaining valuable professional experience while supporting George. You ll play a key role in his development, helping him manage emotional regulation and behavioural challenges, assist his parents, and contribute to a more structured and positive family routine and inclusive family activities.
