Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm & Friday, 8am to 2pm

Purchasing Manager required for a family owned and progressive manufacturer producing sports equipment. The company have a premium brand and are rapidly expanding into new markets, this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This is a new role and you will have the autonomy to shape purchasing by developing and implementing systems and processes.

To apply for the role you need to have experience in a procurement/purchasing manager role. You need to be confident in negotiating, can demonstrate cost savings and delivering improvements.

Reporting to the business owners, you will oversee an annual spend of £3.5 million and 1000 transactions. You will initially focus on consolidating purchasing that is currently being handled by several departments. You will also grow the team by recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to assist in the day to day running of the department. As the role grows further, the expectation is to deliver value by setting budgets, negotiating better prices and collaborate the departments.
