Responsibilities:

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with guidance and mentoring throughout.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students and promote progress.
• Track and assess student outcomes, adjusting strategies to meet learning needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity.
• Participate in department meetings, CPD, and wider school life.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.

• Passionate about teaching and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
• Open to feedback and eager to grow within a supportive team.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a desire to contribute to the wider school community.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
