Are you a dynamic and proactive individual with a passion for helping young children thrive? Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a fantastic primary school in North Surrey. This is a chance to make a tangible difference in a supportive educational setting.

This is a vital full-time opportunity at a "Good"-rated primary school, where you will focus on guiding and supporting pupils with their social, emotional, and behavioural development. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to foster a positive and inclusive environment for all children. This is an ongoing position with strong potential for permanency.

Your Role: Key Contributions to Pupil Well-being

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll be instrumental in:

  • Providing dedicated one-on-one and small group support to pupils who require additional guidance with their behaviour.
  • Implementing tailored strategies to help children manage their emotions and develop positive coping mechanisms.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for pupils, building trust and a strong rapport to encourage positive engagement.
  • Working alongside teaching staff to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management across the classroom.
  • Assisting with the de-escalation of challenging situations and promoting a calm, focused learning environment.

What We Require: Essential Qualifications & Skills

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience supporting children with their behaviour in a school or similar setting.
  • An understanding of various behaviour management techniques and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
  • A valid enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
