We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cost control and financial management within the construction industry. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
- Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project budgets and schedules.
- Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Provide advice on contractual matters and assist in dispute resolution as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years proven post graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
