Accounts Assistant - Temporary Contract
Location:North London East Finchley (Office-Based)
Contract Type: 3-Month Temporary Assignment
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hourly Rate: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour, dependent on experience
Start Date: ImmediateA well-established, London-listed hospitality group with operations across 10 European countries is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant.
To support its finance team during a period of growth. This is a key opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, international business environment.Role Overview:As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of transactional finance tasks, supporting daily operations and assisting with month-end and year-end processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage daily revenue recognition and reconciliations
- Allocate cash and maintain accurate financial records
- Contact suppliers to chase missing invoices
- Assist the Management Accountant with month-end and year-end close
- Provide support to the wider finance team
Experience & Skills Required:
- Experience in accounts payable functions
- Balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 essential or system migration projects (desirable)
- Understanding of accruals and prepayments
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
