My client, based in Stanford-Le-Hope, is a leading road haulage company, providing service-led solutions to the supply chain industry. Due to company growth, they are now looking for a transport operator to join their fast-paced and dynamic team, playing a crucial role in their traffic branch, specialising in the movement of containers.

Transport Operator - Key Responsibilities

• Arranging the release, collection, and delivery of containers.
• Overseeing operations, booking VBS slots, dealing with vehicle breakdowns.
• Amending the routing plan if and when needed, resolving any route issues should they arise.
• Answering calls, liaising directly with the drivers, colleagues, and customers to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• Generation of Tacho infringements.
• General Traffic Office Administration Support.

Transport Operator - Requirements

• Container experience is mandatory.
• Strong IT skills, VBS and Destin8 knowledge is required, TOPS experience is desirable.
• Previous administrative and transport coordination experience.
• Great communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, confident, with a strong can-do attitude.

Transport Operator - Company Remunerations

• Salary - dependent on experience.
• Monday-Friday 8am-6pm
• 28 days holiday.
