CNC Milling Setter / Operator to join their team on a Permanent basis. If you have experience within the Engineering industry and are looking for a new challenge, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. This is a permanent role, primarily responsible for the delivery of repeat product, conforming to specification, as defined in accordance with agreed instructions and following the fixed and defined process in a timely manner that will best support on time, in full delivery to the end customer. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manufacture and check conformance (before submission for first off) of on-going production requirements.
- Working to the scheduled work orders as defined and agreed with production planner and the supervisor.
- Setting machines to the processes defined.
- Maintaining the machines to the processes defined.
- Verifying and controlling manufactured quality to ensure right first-time manufacture and repeatability of quality throughout production in accordance with the controls in place and /or as trained out.
- To carry out other necessary tasks and work flexibly, (where your experience, skills and knowledge is required) to support the business activities of the company.
- Communication
- To communicate effectively to team and other staff as appropriate.
- To provide appropriate information as required that will help the business develop and improve.
- Always adhere to and follow safe working processes and company policies in accordance with Company's Health & Safety Policy.
- To promote and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Essential requirements of a CNC Milling Setter/Operator:
- Heidenhain experience or similar
- CNC milling machine Setting and Operation experience
Desired requirements of a CNC Milling Setter/Operator:
- A core mechanical engineering qualification
- Control systems - FANUC
- Experienced at working with control plans
- 5S / Lean experience
