Senior Estimator

Senior Estimator Groundworks, Civil Engineering, & RC Frames

My client has been operating for over 50 years, they are a leading civil engineering business specialising in demolition, enabling, soil remediation and groundworks construction services.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. You will prepare accurate and competitive estimates, build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and contribute to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tender Management: Review tender documents, specifications, and contracts (JCT & NEC) to prepare accurate estimates.
• Cost Estimation: Perform detailed take-offs, create bills of quantities, and compile tenders using Causeway and Bluebeam software.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with clients and collaborate with the bid team for high-quality submissions.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Manage subcontractor enquiries, analyse quotes, and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify risks, suggest mitigation strategies, and explore value engineering opportunities.
• Post-Tender: Manage clarifications, negotiate contracts, and hand over successful bids to the operations team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience estimating groundworks, civil engineering, and RC frame projects.
• Proficiency in Causeway and Bluebeam software, with strong IT and organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Full UK driving licence.
