Are you an experienced Document Controller looking for your next opportunity? Do you have a strong background in managing project documentation and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced construction environment? If so, we want to hear from you!

This position will be based on-site on a project in Enfield and then will also be overseeing a couple of projects in the Sudbury area. Once the project in Enflied is completed you will move to the project(s) in Sudbury, Suffolk.

We are a leading construction main contractor with a track record of delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all project documentation, including drawings, contracts, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Ensure the effective storage, retrieval, and distribution of documents across the project team.
  • Maintain accurate document registers and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of project reports and submittals.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure documentation flows seamlessly throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date and accessible for audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate and track document revisions and approvals.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient filing system, both physical and digital.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation processes and document control systems.
  • Proficient in using document management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint). Experience using ViewPoint is highly desired
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, and specifications is an advantage.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
