About the role:SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to be supporting a warm and inclusive primary school in Hampstead who are opening a brand-new SEND provision and are seeking a passionate SEND Lead Teacher to take the reins from day one.
This is a truly unique opportunity to lead a small, specialist provision within a thriving mainstream school. The provision will begin with just four pupils, allowing you to focus on personalised, high-quality teaching and build the structure and ethos of the setting as it grows.
The school are looking for an experienced, creative, and nurturing SEND professional who can combine excellent classroom practice with leadership and vision. You'll have the support of a strong SENDCo and senior leadership team, but the autonomy to shape and develop the provision from its foundation.

The role:
- Lead a small, specialist SEND provision within a mainstream primary setting
- Teach and nurture a group of four pupils with a range of additional needs (including communication, social, emotional and learning differences)
- Develop and deliver a personalised curriculum focused on progress, wellbeing and inclusion
- Work closely with the SENDCo, therapists, and LSAs to deliver tailored support
- Build a warm, structured environment where every child can thrive academically and emotionally
- Model best SEND practice and support the professional development of support staff
- Lead on communication with families, external agencies and wider stakeholders
- Opportunity to develop leadership capacity and help shape the long-term vision of the provision
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven SEND experience in a primary setting
- Passionate about inclusion and the belief that every child can succeed
- Confident teaching small groups and adapting learning to meet a range of needs
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH and communication needs
- Organised, flexible and compassionate, with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience mentoring or leading support staff is desirable
- Excited by the opportunity to build and lead a new provision from the ground up
