M&E Engineer

Our client requires a mobile M&E engineer to join there ever-growing Energy Services team which has 15% growth year on year. The Energy Services team operate 25 Heat Networks and Energy Centres across London. The work is a mixture of planned maintenance and repair works as well as reactive works from our call-out service.

The role of the M&E engineers' role is to deliver maintenance, repair works, reactive services to a professional standard.

M&E Engineer Position Overview

• Working on all types of mechanical & electrical assets
• Mechanical duties: pump overhauls, valve and pipework repairs, cooling tower testing, vibration analysis, fixing leaks, HIU servicing, belt and pully alinement checks, fault finding, chiller and boiler checks, water treatment / temperature monitoring and constantly look for ways to reduce the overall cost of the production
• Electrical Duties: motor testing, BMS monitoring, meter checks, fault finding and constantly look for ways to reduce the overall cost of the production
• Servicing AHU's, FCU's, HIU's, chillers, pumps, invertors, cooling towers, adiabatic coolers, underfloor heating, pipework and a good working knowledge of all other M&E & HVAC

M&E Engineer Position Requirements

• Time served mechanical / electrical apprenticeship
• City & Guilds or equivalent Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• NHC HND (desirable)
• Minimum six years' experience in the field

M&E Engineer Position Remuneration

• 40,000 - 50,000 per annum, based upon experience
• 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
• 23 days plus bank rising with service
• 1.5-2x overtime rates - engineers often 10-15k additional per annum
• Company van optional personal use available.
• 1-8 call out rota - looking to grow to 1-10
