A specialist school in Chaldon is seeking a passionate and energetic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 11-19 with autism, SEMH, and complex communication needs. You'll be part of a warm, inclusive environment where creativity, empathy, and teamwork are central to everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils in the classroom and during activities - you will be working in classrooms of 6-8 students where you will be supporting around 3 students at a time on average
• Help deliver tailored learning plans
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in SEND (or a strong desire to learn)
• Positive, proactive attitude
• Patience, resilience, and a good sense of humour
• Ability to adapt and keep calm in moments of stress
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ideal candidate will be a car driver with access to their own vehicle
