• Strategic Sourcing:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Develop category management strategies for key spend areas, including cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead supplier selection process through RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value improvement.
• Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring ongoing performance and alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any issues promptly.
• Procurement Strategy Development:
  • Define and implement a long-term procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and supplier relationships.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Communicate procurement strategy and goals to key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and delivery timelines.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyse procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Generate reports on procurement performance, including cost savings achieved and supplier compliance.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

• Deep understanding of market dynamics and supplier landscape (ideally within medical or healthcare sectors)
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
