Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Mortgage Advisor in Romford, your duties will include:

• Conducting initial consultations with clients to understand financial needs and mortgage eligibility.
• Learning to research suitable mortgage and protection products from a wide panel of lenders.
• Supporting clients throughout the full mortgage application journey.
• Liaising with lenders, solicitors, and estate agents to ensure smooth completions.
• Building long-term relationships and generating repeat and referral business.
• Consistently working towards and exceeding individual sales targets.
• Attending structured training and coaching sessions to expand your product knowledge and compliance understanding.
• Working under the guidance of senior brokers to sharpen your advisory skills and boost your earnings.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this Trainee Mortgage Advisor / Trainee Mortgage Broker role in Romford, you must have:

• CeMAP 1 qualification (essential).
• Proven sales experience in a target-driven role - ideally in financial services, estate agency, or telesales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A clean credit history and no CCJs or bankruptcies.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Strong ambition to grow within the financial services sector.
• High levels of self-motivation, resilience, and enthusiasm.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own diary.

• Basic Salary: Up to £25,000
• Financial Guarantee: £31,000 (including car allowance) for the first 5 months
• Commission Structure: 10%-25% on all banked revenue
